Surprising was the fact that most of the mold growths occurred in apartments with a temperature above 21 °C.
The inadequate ventilation often cited in connection with mold growth was not found in most of the apartments inspected. In most cases it was a combination of several factors. Looking for the cause in the ventilation behavior of the residents is short-sighted, eventhoug correct ventilation is of course a significant factor. It should not be forgotten that structural reasons, such as thermal bridges, leaks, poor workmanship or poor planning can be the cause of mold growth.
