A state-of-the-art new malting plant is being built in Stadlau on behalf of 3KDK Projekt GmbH. The large plant with a floor plan of almost 50 x 60 m and a height of 35 m is scheduled to produce malt as early as 2024 – in the 6 large, 24 m diameter germ kiln boxes.

The plant, which was primarily built of steel and stainless steel and where thousands of meters of stainless steel welds were produced, also stands out visually – in addition to the construction and the two round kiln towers as well as with the approx. 230 m² air duct tower arranged in the middle – also in terms of energy. The aim was to reuse and reuse not only for economic reasons, but also in terms of sustainability. An immense glass heat exchanger on the roof of the structure contributes to this.
