Our scope of services comprised the structural engineering design andthird-party structural review. Through detailed structural analysis and precise calculations, we contributed significantly to the safe and timely realization of this complex and forward-looking facility.
STAMAG Stadlauer Malzfabrik Gesellschaft m.b.H. has constructed a new, state-of-the-art production facility on its premises. The three-storey building, with a usable floor area of approximately 1,700 m², combines cutting-edge technologies with complex structural solutions.
Key features of the facility include a magnetically guided automated guided vehicle system (AGV), large-scale mixing units with agitators approximately 2 m in height, 15 m tall cylindrical stainless-steel silos mounted on a robust steel grate substructure, and a 14 m high automated high-bay warehouse. The facility is further enhanced by a sophisticated conveying system and a bridge structure connecting separate parts of the complex.
The primary structure was executed in reinforced concrete, designed to accommodate high storage loads and the traffic loads of the AGV system (4.5 tonnes total weight including dynamic load factor). The silo substructures, platforms, working levels, and façades were constructed using conventional steel construction, with partial implementation in stainless steel.
On behalf of the entire Zeman project team, we would like to sincerely thank you for the excellent collaboration. Your expertise and dedication made a significant contribution to the successful implementation of the industrial project at STAMAG – Vienna, also from the perspective of the steel constructor.
The structural calculations, taking into account the assembly sequence, were a crucial factor in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the steelwork. The challenge lay in installing more than a thousand tonnes of steel under tight spatial constraints while coordinating with all other trades involved. The cost-effective and straightforward solutions you developed during the engineering phase were as impressive as they were effective, and played a key role in meeting both schedule and budget targets. We greatly appreciate your proactive site supervision, which enabled safe on-site work through precise planning and control.
Particularly noteworthy was the efficient and goal-oriented cooperation, which – by avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy – ensured a smooth project execution. Thank you for your support. We look forward to future joint and exciting projects.
