R.O.S.E.®

R.O.S.E.® was developed to compare alternative energy sources with conventional thermal energy systems. Even in the early stages of a project, the tool enables precise calculation of payback periods based on the net present value method.

Subsidies, energy prices, and interest rates are dynamically taken into account to realistically assess long-term economic performance. CO savings are also displayed and can be monetarily evaluated.

Individual configurations such as solar thermal or PV systems (with or without battery storage), cooling load calculations, and the integration of cooling systems can be flexibly modeled. CO taxes can also be included in the calculations.

The graphical representation of the payback period clearly illustrates the differences between energy systems – especially in the early planning phase, this helps to quickly identify the economic viability of sustainable technologies.

Continuous Updates in R.O.S.E.®

To ensure that R.O.S.E.® delivers reliable and realistic results, all relevant input data is regularly updated. This includes manufacturer prices, energy prices, and technical performance values.

As a result, both economic and ecological comparisons of energy systems can be accurately and realistically evaluated – even before implementation.

R.O.S.E.® Updates

Important enhancements are planned for R.O.S.E.® in 2025. A trial version will be made available to all interested users, and our selection of energy systems will be expanded to include the water-to-water heat pump.

The payback calculation will also be upgraded to allow for the inclusion of significantly increased grid costs for gas and electricity.
