R.E.A.C.T.®

The R.E.A.C.T.® tool has been developed by KPPK ZT GmbH to quantify CO₂ emissions across the entire life cycle of a building.

It enables the assessment of a buildings CO₂ emissions starting from the earliest planning stages and supports scenario-based case studies, providing a solid basis for decision-making to further achieve substantial CO₂ reductions.

R.E.A.C.T.® provides the individual processing of six calculation categories:

  1. Container Compound
  2. Demolition/Disposal
  3. Excavation Pit
  4. Construction Site Operation
  5. Building Materials
  6. Building Operation

An interface with R.O.S.E.® ensures fast and seamless transfer of building services data.

Ongoing Updates in R.E.A.C.T.®

R.E.A.C.T.® is continuously being further developed, and its underlying database is steadily expanded and refined.

Starting the Calculation
Import of all required calculation parameters from external output files (e.g. ArchiPhysik) is necessary, including: OI3 data / component build-ups / component surface areas / building services systems.
R.O.S.E.® interface is available for the direct transfer of building services systems, but its use is not mandatory.
Project-specific data are processed and selected within the six calculation steps.
These steps follow the actual sequence of a building’s construction cycle.
The tool provides the estimated CO₂ emissions for each phase of the building.

When does R.E.A.C.T.® support me?

Comprehensive analysis of the entire life cycle of a building
CO₂ emissions calculation through the combination of ArchiPHYSIK data, practical construction data ,and research-based information
Consideration of all phases: materials, transport, construction site operation, excavation, and building operation (including integration of R.O.S.E.®)
Early optimisation by identifying the five largest emitters and the five materials with greatest capacities to store CO₂.
Graphical output of all relevant values in PDF format
