PV yield despite fog: the data speaks for itself

Building-integrated photovoltaic façade alongside a digital energy analysis showing daily production, consumption, and grid interaction.

January 2026 was anything but sunny – a glance at the solar yield is enough.

Even we are surprised by these figures.
Our PV system – located on the listed company headquarters – generated 626.3 kWh in January, despite persistent fog and high fog conditions in Vienna.

What does this tell us?
Photovoltaics work – even in suboptimal conditions.
Not with peak performance, but with continuous, reliable base load supply – even in the middle of winter.

For anyone planning PV systems in cities or existing buildings:
☁️ Fog is not a disqualifying factor.
🏛️ Historic preservation is not an excuse.
📈 Monitoring provides real insights.

We had expected less. And that’s exactly why these figures are so valuable:
They show the real potential—beyond glossy calculations and idealized scenarios.
