Porsche, Vienna-Liesing

Redesign of the Porsche Vienna-Liesing site – the largest contiguous car dealership in Austria. All well-known car brands of the Porsche Group, such as Porsche, Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda, as well as exclusive cars and a bike store are represented here.

Project overview

Intensive work has been carried out on this major project since 2015. In an ongoing process, the individual parts of the building were relocated, renovated and rebuilt step by step – always while maintaining ongoing operations. Three central goals were the focus of the modernization:

  • Fulfillment of current dealership standards (CI) in order to meet the high demands of the Porsche Group.
  • Expansion and modernization of the site in order to optimally cover both the technical requirements and current customer needs.
  • Conversion to sustainable standards – conversion to e-vehicle technology and PV

Technical requirements and legal specifications

The new buildings were predominantly realized with prefabricated elements (steel, steel-concrete). This construction method enabled and economical, efficient and at the same time architecturally high-quality implementation.

Fire protection and safety

Special attention was paid to fire protection in order to achieve comprehensive safety objectives:

  • Personal protection: limiting the development and spread of fire and smoke, ensuring the load-bearing capacity of the structures and safe evacuation.
  • Neighbor protection: Preventing the spread of fire to neighboring structures.
  • Protection of the emergency services: Enabling safe rescue and extinguishing measures.
  • Property value protection: Minimization of fire-related damage to buildings and equipment.

Only by consistently implementing fire protection measures can the necessary safety for operations be achieved on this large site with its many flammable elements.

Porsche Wien-Liesing now presents itself as a modern inviting location that meets the highest standards for customers, visitors and the team.

The project, which was launched for us in 2015, presented the project team with various coordination challenges in both planning and execution, as it required maintaining full operational functionality while simultaneously carrying out renovation, conversion, and new construction works. Thanks to the commitment of everyone involved, the project became a success for all parties.
