In fall 2021, the two-group Münichsthal Kindergarten opened—a project that impresses not only with its architectural quality but also with its sustainability standards.
The architectural firm Treberspurg & Partner Architekten won the competition for this construction project in 2019 with its concept “The Three Town Musicians.” Under the auspices of the municipality of Wolkersdorf im Weinviertel, the kindergarten was built with the aim of achieving klimaaktiv Gold certification.
Interdisciplinary collaboration between structural engineering, building physics, and building services played a decisive role in meeting the high requirements of this standard. In addition to energy efficiency, the klimaaktiv building standard also evaluates aspects such as comfort, indoor air quality, and material and construction quality.
This forward-looking building has created a sustainable living space that will also offer future generations the best conditions for their development.
