With the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics, Milan is increasingly becoming the focus of international attention in the run-up to the opening ceremony on February 6, 2026.In the heart of the urban fabric of Pizza San Babila, a striking temporary structure is being erected along Olympic Boulevard: the OMEGA Pavilion – a publicly accessible brand and experience space dedicated to timekeeping, sport and innovation.

The approximately 40-meter-long pavilion is designed as a linear space concept with clear visitor guidance. Along this sequence, a mulit-layered experience unfolds, combining information, interaction, and staging:

  • Timekeepers Tunnel
  • Watch Room with selected OMEGA models from the Winter Games
  • Athlete Stories and Future of Timekeeping
  • Bobsled VR as a sporting activation
  • Signing and Innovation Area for athletes and the brand

Large-format digital content, immersive scenography, and interactive formats such as VR expierences and photos zones create a high-quality visitor experience and translate brand communication into a spatially tangible context.

The planning and technical implementation are carried out under the demanding location-specific conditions of the city of Milan. Requirements regarding construction height, load distribution, and urban integration necessitate precise coordination between design, construction, and logistics.
Our team supports this process with technical expertise, structured coordination, and a clear vision for temporary construction methods in order to safely and efficiently implement the functional requirements in this sensitive inner-city environment.

The OMEGA Pavilion impressively demonstrates hot temporary architecture can become a high-quality component of public space through careful planning, well-coordinated coordination, and implementation by the Hochsitz” team. ⏱️✨
